25. ,000 Volt High Voltage System
The breadboard shown in this picture was developed under contract to
InXitu Inc. and is a precursor to the high voltage system currently
under development for NASA-Ames (see picture 16). This particular design
is intended to operate with an x-ray tube using carbon nano-tube
emitters. A key innovation for this design is the use of field control
approaches allowing corona-free operation without either encapsulation
or pressurization.
