Filament-Bias Module Bench Test.
The FB module is unique in that it requires a second trim adjustment
once it can be mated to the quadrupole tube and a real filament.
Simulators are used for all bench testing until the tube is available.
This picture shows the control loop being tested for one of the 3 filament drive systems. To assure proper margins and stability, every control loop is electrically tested in a closed loop configuration as part of the bench test.
