76. TEGA Emission Control Test with Real Filament.
TEGA Emission Controller breadboard configured for testing with the
qualification filament. For simplicity and safety (the filament floats
at 2000 volts in the system), a special dummy filament simulator is used
for most testing of the Emission Control System. The filament and system
characteristics are closely matched to the real filament at the planned
operating point.
