View of the GALEX Engineering Model High Voltage Power Supply undergoing
special testing. The two flight units, built under contract to UC
Berkeley, are working on-orbit as part of the GALEX spacecraft developed
by Cal Tech and launched in May 2003.
Both the flight and EM units are modified spares developed by Battel Engineering for the SOHO mission. The two SOHO units have been operating continuously on-orbit since launch in December 1995.
